International Women’s Day 2025
In the spirit of #AccelerateAction for IWD2025, I partnered with Generator New Zealand, the co-working community I’m part of in Wellington. Partnering is essential if we’re going to have a lasting impact. None of us does anything alone.
We recorded my responses to their questions:
Who are the role models that have influenced my career?
What changes (that are better for women) do you want to see in the workplace?
How do you empower other women?
What advice have you received in your career that you can pass on?
Role models
There are too many to mention. I have been very lucky to have several important role models. The two I focused on here are Kate Raworth and Katrine Marcal.
Changes to the workplace
There are several changes I want to bring about to the workplace. The one I’m best known for is creating more flexibility to give more people more choices about where and when they work. This change is great for business, for everyone, including women.
Empowering women
When we are at our best we empower ourselves and each other through reciprocity.
Advice I’ve had
I’m not a fan of giving unsolicited advice. Take from this anything that is helpful and leave the rest!
Happy International Women’s Day 2025!
